RE: vdrAPI HELP

Scotty,

Have you figured out your problem?  I'm also using VDRAPI.  I'm glad someone out there is using this also.  Let me know if we can help each other out.

Shawn,
Unfortunately, we seem to be the only 2 people on earth that have ever heard of the VDRApi.  I actually contacted Mobius and got into their FTP and downloaded all the information they had on the VDR api.  Which is not much.  If you look at the C header for the VDR api you will get a lot of documentation out of that.  As for me, I had to move in a different direction as I could not have a lot of down time waiting for a response.  A guy that I work with managed to build a "print driver" that would intercept the print and save it as text then call an exe that would then take the saved text file and parse that for information.

Good luck to you.  If you find a solution please post it.

Thanks
Scoty

RE: vdrAPI HELP

I'm actually using a product called JuggerNET that takes the vdrapi.jar file and creates a DotNet dll.  I then am able to make connections to the database, retrieve documents and archive documents, all from DotNet.  It took awhile but I finally got it working with help from JuggerNET and from Mobius.  One of Mobius's software engineer's came initially to get things set up from a JAVA program.  I expanded on his programs and wrote them in C# DotNet.

If you have any questions, let me know.  I'll try to help.

Shawn
