What i realised from few tips in this forum on various
themes is next:It is not your work it's company work,it is not your idea  company mind it up, it is not your mail
it is company mail(!).There is not YOU there is only employeed person,etc.....Well why we just all dont go home and leave are "very capable" companies to do their job along,anyway we could only mess up with our "ME".
  Well let me start new tread here:I bought really nice t-shirt yesterday,Gray with following text:

 IF YOU SAY-THIS IS ME-YOU ARE THE MAVERICK
Now i'm sitting in my company waiting some mad oracle to comes up yelling "my mail dont work!" and drink my coffie
and you would not believe, scratching my ear with,listen
now:with "my" finger!

You hit it with the t-shirt and the go home parts.  You get what you pay for.  You bought the shirt so you own it.  Your employer pays for your work therefore they own it.  If you want to own your work you must be the one paying for it (in other words, at home - self-employed).

We all know what work is no matter how nice the job is, or the company we work for, it's paid slavery from the hours of 9 to 5 they own what you do and tell you what to do (leagly) and when you work on your own it the same thing but just to more people.  Unless you can get along with out money your stuck until you retire or have a rich family member drop dead leave you their money.

Sorry i was not clarified enough.Let's say like this:
Is there part of us beside our satisfaction in what we made for our companies even
if they(of course!)own our work?
Do we really work only for money, is that what we want from
computers here?

Usually i lay down in bad and realise i'm not alive.When
i woke up i'm already sure i'm not.Where is that Neo,
that bloody hacking unethic criminal?If someone see him
plase tell him to wake me up....

coz you all think that the only live is during work hours !!! hey GET A LIFE !!! i work for money 10 hours a day, then have fun the 14 remaining hours :) - this can include personnal coding, or going away, or anything ... you'd like to live while you're working and work while you're living ... weird !

Well Sleew...if I am understanding it right...we went through something like this with long hair in the 60's.

When it became clear that by cutting my hair a could move up the food chain to more money..faster.  The hair went off.
After a number of years I now no longer care about the money, its kinda funny that the less I want it the more I am offered it.:)  :) The loyalty went out the window after the first recession I went through. Now I am mercenary, I do my 40 and enjoy what I do...the work that I do outside of work is where I get my Joneses. The day job pays for the 'vettes and the blondes.

Yes Iza, you are right!I do same as you are.Every single weekend i'm going to my favorite club spending all my silly money and having great fun.in my town, wich is not small
(2.5 million)i know every person that i want to know,some
of them are regular like me some are very famous in whole
state.But still i will not be fully satisfied if i dont enojy my work.Let me explain:i could choose between
two options(i still can):
1.To employ in some foreign company for very high salary,
maintain some silly LAN, troubleshoot stupid office i did
millions of times,can't touch equipement(reseller do that)
,do nothing - enjoy money.
Option 2:To work in most famous company for projecting,
implementing,selling,maintaining information systems,recieve more than funny salary and become 'someone'.
I choose two!Now my clients can't touch equipement instead they call me.i learn a lot and i can already see how much
my clients administrators dont know,some of them are
20 years in iT and i'm for 3 years, and still i know that i know more than they do.And they know that.
 I WANT EVERYTHING I CAN ACHIEVE!!!

Pivan.Oh man!you did it right.We only need money to show people that they dont need it.But  iT world  is very expensive if you want to stay in.I was studing archaelogy
for 3 years and then i realise i will eat s... tomorow.
i was allready in computer world(making elec-music)so i decided to spend my only $2500 on new comp,Windows and MCSE course for NT 4.0.i tought i will have money finally.Than
it became reverse,i was spending money on exams, transcenders,software,hardware,more courses,....I felt to depresion realising that i'm convict to misery.But soon
i became better and better in my job starting to forget about money i wanted.One day Norwegian people Aid called
me to work for them.I knew it is not less then 5 ordinary salaries;same day most famous iT company in my town called me for same reason;i knew it was  miserly paid 'cause they blackmail you with opportunity for knowledge they offer(storage & fiber systems,server farms,...of course
ininescappable desktop also).i was dying whole night
and i choose misery; or is it misery?
 i still have long hair Pivan, and i'm alive....

Any time you have to do something you don't like or do something at a time not of your own choosing it's work.  For myself, I have chosen to desire a certain standard of living and I want certain toys.. This requires money therefore I have to work hard to get that money.  If I chose to cut back the lifestyle I could get by with less money and less work.  We all choose.  Hopefulle we end up in jobs we enjoy.

A job is a means to an end.  What you do with the rest of your time is your life and what's really important.  If I could just win the damn Powerball, I'd go back for about 5 minutes to get the pictures of my wife and dogs off my desk and I'd be outta there for fun in the sun!!!

There are 3 ways to live life.To do job and have fun,To
enjoy job and do only that whole day, and to have fun and enjoy job wich mean you fullfill 24 hours of doing what you want.You live whole 24 hours not 14 or 18 or 2.Life is strangle for set of moments, some of them are loops and you want them to be that,some are light motivs that are flying through your life,some are allways in background,some are borring but they are yours.It's you Jeff now,and after this coma.You dont make your set of course but you have influence
on it ,biggest or almost biggest.if you dont do what you
like for 8H per day than you have a problem that longs around 1/3 of Jeff and his day.i know that even one second could be enough for someone to be himself whole day but man is perishable product.you dislike job,spend more time with milk out of frige and get rotten.
i'm young man so it is maybe normal to think like this but if i dont do that i dont have much choice.Just investing
in future.When i get tired i will rest.
Life will tell you that i'm foolish and thinks with my impulses.NO.
i just use the same.Ride my hors like everyone.Sometimes he rides me, but if we would worry about it we would get more tired and became weak to ride again.
Toys,toys.Here is the moment when my arguments became little bit unstable.
How to have toys if you do only what
you like.Well maybe we should try to find most productive of all we like and choose
it for 8/24.i like archaeologie ,music(can't live w/o)  and computers most of all.So
formula would be:do computers for money,
then by toys and make music;digg allways.
But if you want to worth you must be good with computers.Put thinks like this: more knowledge more money, or more i'm good
in what i like more they pay me.Look at those DJs, they work what they like and take money
for it.My friend wich is one of the best DJs
in my town took my 5months salary for 4H set.And you know what he told me tomorow?

i'm not sure money is the key here - what i mean is that i quitted my previous job for this one, where my salary is LOWER - yes, but the work is much much more interesting ... i DID hesitate a long time before chosing, but i felt like doing something really interesting and honnest was worth a few &euro less ... ("honnest" is because i've always felt like i was lying to and stealing my clients when i was doing consulting stuff - but that's another story)
but then again, i know any job can't be interesting every day - you always have boring stuff to do - and that's why i don't want to mix my life and my job. I don't think any job can fullfill your life - even beeing a dj (ah ah i used to rave a lot and then i dreamed of earning my life mixing, but i'm sure i would have get tired of it pretty quickly, and worst, it might have disgusted me from partying - as it was WORK ...)

Don't get me wrong.  I mostly enjoy what I'm doing as well.  I'd move on if I didn't.  Everyone has to make their own decisions on how to balance work and life.  It's an ever changing and unique situation for each individual.  

(I still want to win the lottery and go into instant retirement though!    )

Talk about money for toys:  I have a G3si and 2000 telephones, a really slick voice mail system, a wireless LAN and about 10K worth of tools to play with.  Now, sure they really belong to the company and so does my work on them, but unless I hit that Powerball Jeff is talking about I can't afford that stuff for my home.  But, the company pays me well to sit around and figure out new stuff to do with my toys.  And, much to my wife's dismay, I go home at night and continue to think up new games to play.  Before these toys I had a Fujitsu 9600XL with 4000 phones, a DS3, a Slick96 and a really cool ACD system to play with.  The key is, when I get bored with any of my toys I walk away with all the games I've thought up intact and that information, even though I share it freely, belongs only to me.  In my opinion work is just a game you play for money.

Yeap maxq and the score card is your income.
