hello,

i'm wondering if there is a chart that lists all of the features and which version has them. i've seen the pages on microsoft's site for each version, but i can't get a feel for what some versions don't have other than the aero interface. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

hi techcarnivore,

thank you for the link. i found a great list starting on this page, based on the link you gave me.

is there a 64 bit version of vista? the link you gave me mentions it. i must be asleep at the wheel. i'm headed back to microsoft's site to look into this.

it sounds like i need vista ultimate. i get the feeling that this is the high end "home" version". is that true? i gues i want the equivalent of windows xp pro, which i think the ultimate version is. just tell me that the ultimate version, won't have the "ultimate price" LOL

thank you so much. your link really made my day.

The 64bit version is availible for download or order via microsoft although there aint many programs support it. there is a 64bit xp trial availible if you register you get 180 days seems much more stable the vista 64 and most programs will work on it

I should hope XP 64 is more reliable that Vista it's been available for over a year.

You know what Jack Burton always says at a time like this...
