When I try and compare an SQL file, ClearCase loads up Word and displays the two version in two separate word applications, one for each revision of the file.

How can I change this for SQL files?

There is a way to do this, but I can't remember it at the moment, and the online help ... isn't.

Somewhere a bell rinkels i my brain that it could be that the file is saved as unicode.

Me too I thought it had to do with unicode, just search
for unicode on the ClearCase Forum http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/dw_forum.jsp?forum=333&cat=24
