First, I'd like to thank everyone who takes the time to post to the site. This has been an extremely helpful resource for me as I rebuild our crashed Partner ACS.

I've got all of my extensions up, a hunt group of 5 lines for incoming calls (non-hybrid, non-pooled mode) and my AA and VM are all working. Now it's just the icing on the cake: programming the individual phones.

I've been digging through the threads and reading through the Avaya documentation, and I am still unclear about one thing:

How can I program buttons and status lights on the Partner-18D phone for all of the extensions I have (we have 7 extensions)? Before our partner crashed, we were able to see the status of each extension if a user was on the phone. You could also touch the corresponding button and ring the individual extension.

Is this a per extension option, or do I program this @ 10? The documentstion seems to leave this feature out. The only thing I was able to find that was remotely close was a suggestion of pooling my lines. I am not to thrilled about doing this so I am hoping someone has a better suggestion.

Thanks!

You would program that at each extension.

1) Press Feature, 0, 0 to enter the programming mode.

2) Press the button you want to use as a status indicator/intercom button for a particular extension.

3) Press the left Intercom button and then the extension's number if you want the extension to ring when the button is pressed or add a "#" before the extension if you want to use the button as a sort of "barge in" feature.

4) Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the other extensions.

5) Press Feature, 0, 0 to exit.
