Why use Exabyte?

Why use Exabyte?

(OP)
OK,

of all the technologies out there, why would I use Exabyte over something else, say an HP solution for Backup?

Whats the big difference between DLT/SDLT, LTO and the VX technologies from Exabyte?

I'm looking at needing to back up more than DDS-4 80GB dat drive worth of data.

The RAID 5 array will be 430GB but maybe only need to back up 150GB of data the first year. At the same time, we might expand to 900GB instead of the 430GB, what might I be needing then?

Would someone provide some guidance?

Thanks in advance,
Morpth
