Hello,
I am very intersted in getting my CTT+ cert and would like to know the best way of going about it.
I relise that it is has two tests one computer based test and one video of a training session.

Does anyone know where I can get training books for this?
And where I can find out the objectives that are needed for the video.

Actully any info on this cert at all would be greatfully recived.

I can tell you this, be prepared for a wait. Two of our employees fulfilled the requirements and then had a six month wait for CompTIA to get around to certifying them.

A lot of history behind the CTT+.  CompTIA bought the exam from Chauncey, who developed it (who is now owed by Thomson/Prometric).  It used to map directly to the  IBSTPI Standards.  CompTIA got tired of paying royalties to IBSTPI to use their name so they dropped that association but the exam is still essentially the same.  Grab a copy of the IBSTPI standards to study (www.ibstpi.org).  Friesen, Kay, and Associates have an excellent exam simulator available www.fka.com .  The CTT exam is tough but fair.

The video is another story.  Do you have teaching experience.  There are several outfits that give classes and provide you with a finished video for submission at the end of class.  This may be worth your money.
