DataMigrator problems with CA Inoculan Anti-Virus

We have just installed DataMigrator with version 6.1 but are having problems trying to bring back the files using a Windows 2000 OS and CA Inoculate - has anyone else encountered these problems

Hi

This is probably caused by your AV scanning the files as they come back in which is causing a timeout...try turning off your AV and recall a migrated file, that will tell you if it's the AV.

If it is then you need to tell your AV software to skip scanning files that are marked as offline files.

Trend Micro have now included an option to do this but, you need to set a registry key as it's disabled by default...not too sure about CA though.

AV software can cause problems with quite a few HSM solutions.

We disabled an option on the CA scanning and it worked.  Thanks

Which version of CA Inoculan are you running ??
There is a registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\eTrustAntivirus\CurrentVersion\Local Scanner\Scan Migrated Files (value set to 0 - no scanning)
that should handle this,
