how to enable LPD service (port 515)?

I need to allow UNIX hosts to foward jobs to Windows 2003 print queues.  This requires the LPD service to be running on the Windows 2003 server (on port 515).  In Windows 2000, there was a TCP Printing service to enable LPD.  How is it done on Windows 2003?

If I understand your problem correctly, you need to install Print Services for UNIX (look under Other Network File and Print Services in Windows Component wizard).  That provides the LPD service.
