LinkSys router BEFW11S4 problems - fixed

LinkSys router BEFW11S4 problems - fixed

(OP)
Was having major problems with Linksys befw11s4 router.
1. wireless connection would fail or give wrong address
2. router failed to renew lease.. really a pain
3. speeds were rather slow
4. wireless distance was (IMHO) really short range.
5. failure to forward all ports as needed.
several other problems.
I found a site that had an old Firmware.. so I tested by going backwards from v4 1.52.02 to v4 1.50.14
and so far every problem I had has disappeared...
PS: The router came with 1.52.02 installed...
