hi

can someone tell me, how to calculate the crc32-code in the FCS-field of a ethernet frame?
i know the crc-32 polynom.
questions:
- is the correct init. FF FF FF FF?
- is it necessary/correct to invert the first 32 bit of the frame - calculate the crc32 and invert the result?
- what happens when at the very end of the frame only 1, 2 or 3 bytes existing for calculating crc? at which position are these bytes written and how is the rest (up to 32 bit) filled?
