You have five cards down in one cabinet, if there are no other cards installed, it appears that the whole cabinet is down.  I would check that the fiber connections are communicating (check the LED's on the FIM's) and the cabinet power is OK.

If power and communications are good, try power cycling the Peripheral Cabinet(once is enough, please).  If it's only a hiccup, the cards should re-load and the lines and trunks should be available once more.

If that fails, get a Mitel-certified tech on the job.

Thank you for your reply.

Please excuse my naivety, but since my Mitel-certified tech isn't coming out until Monday, I am hoping to see if I can try some things now which could fix it.

What you refer to.

Would that roughly be a reboot? if so, I have shut down the system earlier for approx. 15 mins, but when it came back, the critical errors remained.

This is all I have tried so far.

Any further guidance, would be gratefully appreciated.

Your pronlem is with your Universal ASU unit

check that it is powered up

check that the CIM cable from the 3300 to the universal ASU is a cross over RJ45 patch lead

My ASU unit? would this be the termination unit? or is it onboard the 3300? - again sorry my poor knowledge

You have a black rack-mountable cabinet slightly smaller than the 3300 and with only one Cat5 cable (and nothing else) plugged into the front of it.
On the back of it is a 25-pair amphenol connector along with a couple RJ45 jacks for the Music On Hold and Paging.
This is the unit that is non-functioning.

Check to see that the ethernet cable is plugged into the fromt of it and that the power cord is connected.

Over at the 3300 look to see that there is an ethernet cable plugged into one of the CIM ports (towards the right-hand side of the 3300)

Thank you for your reply.

There is nothing in the CIM ports - nor has there ever been..

I have tried a reset but the following remains..

unless you plugin a crossover cable into your CIM port, deassign or change the alarm thresholds on your system you will not be able to get rid os your alarm.

Thank you all for your comments.

The Mitel certified engineer fixed it this afternoon - the restore seems to not update the country from North America back to the UK - which caused the line fault.

The errors were because the original reseller had masked these alarms, thus they weren't appearing previously and these alarms related to a misconfig.

So all better now!!!

But again, thank you all for your efforts.
