hi i am new here and i hope i am in the rite place to ask this question. first off i am not trying to do anything ilegal. i met someone thru a internet singles site, we have talked on the yahoo messenger for a few months and i have also talked to her on the phone a lot. i want to make sure im not being scammed because she is from nigeria. she has not asked me for no money yet but she wants to come over to the usa now but for some reason i think the person i talk with on the messenger is already in the usa and it could be her half sister in nigeria that i talk to on the phone. what i need to know is, if i have that person's email adress and their messenger id, how would i use this info to find out the home adress of the computer that she is using to contact me with, or how to find out the home adress that goes with the email adress she gave me. once again, i am not doing this to harm anyone. i am doing this to protect myself. thank you for any help you can give me.                                                                   rdnk4u

1) you can't find anything more than the location of the mail server (mine is in AZ even though I am in MS, so it is not a help)
2) if you could, I would not help stalking
3) the procedure for finding someone's address is simple: you ask them

In all fairness, it's not as simple as asking because they can simply lie..

However, rdnk4u, don't expect any detailed info on what you are trying to do here as it is unlikely to go down to well with the moderators as it will contravene forum rules.

Sounds fishy to me - you dont need an exact home address to find out wether the person is in the USA, nor do you need to worry about being scammed if the person is not asking for money...

I think you are being set up, she will use you to get a US visa then disappear. Look for some home grown girl you will be better of..... I am of Nigerian origin trust me I know

They can lie in real life too, it is still the correct protocol for getting a person's address.
