Anyone know of any issues with 7.0 I spoke with about 8 to 10 installers who are having nightmares with it. I've played with one myself and it took for ever to get it to come up. I finally brought it up with no hardware and just the 1 main phone on it.

this is a repost so you are not seeing double.

My upgrade was from R1T1 to 7.0 So I figured to not worry about migrating the programming over. in retrospect I probably shoud have pulled teh R1T1 and then applied power to the system then powered back down and installed the 7.0 end result the 7.0 software just sat there for about 45 mins without even flashing the phones. tried to go back to R1T1 and the phones would flash but never stopped. pulled all hardware and all lbut one phone out of system and tried 7.0 again and got the phone to go to neverending flash. still couldn't go back to R1T1, Luck had it that I had a 4.1 software and svram packaage in the truck. that came up but still couldn't get 7.0 to come up after 4.1 came up. so the customer is sitting on 4.1 with me getting a set of 7.0 to try again with.

i've not done an upgrade ...but a couple of frensh installs ... no problems like this

I have been having problems with new installs as well. KSU either never come up and we have to send replacements or they just return it.

If all else fails, I just short the caps (not recommended though) but it works.

Upgrade note for MICs 7.0: -
Upgrades to MICS 7.0 are only supported from systems running MICS 6.0 or 6.1 software. If you are running
software prior to MICs 6.0, obtain a MICs 6.1 upgrade and perform an upgrade to that software first.

Understand the upgrade thanks, but what about a new install? I had a couple of them that were not upgrades but were actual new installs and they would not come up. Did find out one thing though they seem to come up alot better if you load them with nothing but software then power down and add the hardware then power up.

Did 1 new installation so far. Was slow in comming up, so went to lunch while it burned in. Came back and everything was happy, happy. (so far) (fingers crossed)

I did an upgrade from a cics to mics 7.0 with a 12x0 and about 23 sets of various models attached. took about 5 minutes.

I just remembered I configured the system the night before and don't recall the exact time it took to get running. It must not have been painfully long or I would have recalled. The next morning when It was installed, it took 5 minutes to boot up with the 23 phones.

I've played with a couple more here in the Lab and they seem to be ok. Maybe just a run of bad luck before. Jerry did you ever try the 7.0 agin with the one you had to go with 4.1?
