Need FAST help with text deformer

Need FAST help with text deformer

(OP)
Hi everybody,

I have a need to take a very long string of text, and curve it, so that it
matches the "Golden Curve" shown on this page. http://
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio (scroll
down a bit)

It not only needs to curve, but needs to scale from large at the
beginning, to almost invisible at the end. Looking at the image in the
link above, the text must be readable from that point of view. (say,
the "top", looking down on this from above.

It seems to me that there is probably a formula deformer to do this,
but I don't know the math well enough at this time to figure it out
myself. Can anyone here help? I'm facing a deadline, so sooner is
better.

Thanks!
