I hope someone can help!

I want to setup up a sub directory off the wwwroot so users can just see the contents of that folders NO HTML pages, but when I set up a Virtual DIR it tells me I am unauthorised to view the DIR I have checked all my access setting and everything seems ok. so is it possible??

PLEASE PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY!

Check the Security Settings, you should have set the permission to Browse Directory(enabled)
