RAID0-Array corrupted (Can't access the second Drive)
I have a EP-4DBA2+ that is equipped with a Highpoint 372 RAID Controller. I used two Seagate Barracuda IV 80GB Drives to build a RAID0-Array on the first channel. A month ago I ran out of space so I decided to get two 160 GB Seagate Barracuda Drives for the second RAID channel. When I tried to partition them I got an error every time, so I decided to remove the drives again and try to partition them on another system. After I removed the drives my system booted to the RAID Menu and told me that the second 80GB Barracuda would power on or produced an error. It gave my the three options to either- a) Power off and check the drives IDE and Powercable (done that) b) Destroy the array c) Hide the array and continue boot
Since this array contains all my drives the second and third option weren't really a choice for me.
I found out since then that even my HTP372-Controller found the drive, but somehow the Controller doesn't understand that it's actually the second drive of my array. |
