For CCR there some updates and software needed.
Here is a list for what you need.

For server 2003 you need these updates:

dotnetfx35
dotnet updates 32bit of dotnet updates 64bit
You must use all three updates.
You need Microsoft J#2.0
vjredist 32bit of vjredist 64bit

Also you need server 2003 SP2 which you can find here:

SP2 32bit or SP2 64bit

For server 2008 you need these updates:

dotnetfx35

This is done by adding a role and selecting .Net 3.5
Then you need updates for .Net

dotnet updates 32bit of dotnet updates 64bit
You must use all three updates.
You need Microsoft J#2.0
vjredist 32bit of vjredist 64bit

If the customer has a SQL server (2005 or 2008) then you can use that.
If the customer does not have a SQL server then you can use SQL Express which is free.
SQL 2008 Express is recommended, it has a bigger database.
Instead of 4Gb it is 10Gb.

Here you can find SQL Express 2005:

SQL Express 2005 32bit of SQL Express 2005 64bit

SQL Express Management tool is very handy for backup or restore.
Backup is built in into later versions of CCR.
Restore needs to be done by a management tool.

SQL server 2005management studio express 32bit or SQL server 2005 management studio express 64bit

Here you can find SQL Express 2008:

SQL Express 2008 32bit of SQL Express 2008 64bit

Here the management tool:

SQL server 2008 management studio express

For for installing CCR follow the installation manual.
