Two DID inbound groups to Two Extension Groups by RickChaisse
Posted: 28 Oct 05 (Edited 7 Nov 05)

Scenario:  My Company needed to expand their Extension count beyond 300 û 399.
I created Extensions 400 - 419
Their current DID inbound calling group was xxx-5000 to  xxx-5099
I had SBC add another DID inbound group of xxx-5100 to  xxx-5119
The challenge was to program the system to route the calls to the proper extension groups.

By looking at the printout for the PRI and then taking the terms and searching the PDF's, I was able to figure it out.

This programming is performed under System/ Lines & Trunks/ PRI/ Dial Plan Routing

The original config:

Entry Number:       0           1
NtwkServ:           Any service
Expected Digits:    3           0
Pattern to match:
Digits to Delete:   1           0
Digits to Add:      3           0

What finally worked:

Entry Number:       0           1
NtwkServ:           Any service
Expected Digits:    3           3
Pattern to match:    1           0
Digits to Delete:     1           1
Digits to Add:         4           3

Note that I swapped Table #Æs.  ThatÆs because the æ0Æ in æPattern to MatchÆ  may have been a wild card. ( I never did check that )  So, by placing the  æ1Æ and the  æ4Æ in the  æ0Æ table, it addressed that translation first, and all others would be addressed in the  æ1Æ table.

Important: You MUST set a Service (NtwkServ) for each Table or the Table won't be acknowledged. If your Service Provider is not listed, you can try.. Misc./ Any Service.
