How can I save/restore control settings in a toolbar by ChrisRChamberlain

Should you need to temporarily disable controls in a custom toolbar class, .SetAll([Enabled],.F.) provides a simple solution.

If you wish to retain the original settings and only re-enable controls that were previously enabled, try the following.

Add a two dimensional array to the class named aControls[1,2]

Add two methods named .mSaveForm() and .mRestForm().

In .mSaveForm() put :-

WITH THISFORM
    DIMENSION .aControls[.ControlCount,2]
    FOR i = 1 TO .ControlCount
        .aControls[i,1] = .Controls(i).Name
        .aControls[i,2] = IIF(.Controls(i).Enabled,.T.,.F.)
    ENDF
    .SetAll([Enabled],.F.)
ENDW

In .mRestForm() put :-

WITH THISFORM
    FOR i = 1 TO .ControlCount
        IF .aControls[i,2] = .T.
            lcExpr = [THISFORM] + .aControls[i,1] + [.Enabled = .T.]
            &lcExpr
        ENDI
    ENDF
ENDW

To use, put :-

tbrMain.mSaveForm()

* Code
* Code

tbrMain.mRestForm()

Have fun!
