Gettign an invalid handle message after upgrading to XP?

If you upgrade to XP Professional and find you can't start Photoshop 7 and get a message "handle is invalid," check to see if you have the Wacom driver installed on your system.  Remove it and all should be fine.  I haven't yet checked if the newest version of the Wacom driver avoids this problem.
