what is the solution for mac error 41

Mac error 41 is an inability for the start-up to detect the "finder" so the start-up stops and the error message is posted. Re-booting does not solve the problem nor does starting up with "extensions off".

The "finder" is usually corrupt which requires re-installing the operating system software by starting-up from the installation CD's. Once the new finder is installed then the system will boot up normally.
