How to Duplicate Sniffer Distributed Pro Agent and Console information across multiple units
Posted: 21 Sep 01

1 - The location of the Agent list on the Console is:

\Program Files\NAI\DSProConsole\Data\DSProView.mdb or wherever they installed the agent software.

2 - The location of the User list and password on the Agent is:

\Program Files\NAI\DSProAgentNT\Program\SnifferProb.act  or wherever they installed the agent software.

3 - The SniffView password is encoded and stored on the Console registry under :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Associates, Inc.\DSPro\Console

4 - Filter information is stored in the sniffer.csf file which is found within the agents local directory on the Console.  If you have multiple agents defined there will be multiple instances of this file.

You should be able to copy these files to other Agents or Consoles to replicate the settings
